Political system

Colombia is a unitary decentralized republic governed by the standing political constitution of 1991. The country is organized around three branches of power. The president exercises as Head of State and government. The bicameral parliament is conformed by the Congress consisting of the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Economy

For its stability and recognized growth, Colombia has positioned itself as one of the most stable economies of the region. In the last six years its average growth has been over 4% which, joined by a favorable business environment, skilled workforce, and quality of life makes Colombia a great place to invest.

Currently, Colombia has standing commercial agreements that allow preferential access to over 1.500 million consumers in important markets.
