¿What we do?

The Pacific Alliance Promotion Agencies are responsible for promoting exports, attracting Foreign Direct Investment, promoting the internationalization of national companies, and promoting the arrival of tourists to the member countries of the block.

The coordination of the Promotion Agencies Technical Group falls to the country that, during the corresponding period, exercises the pro tempore presidency of the Pacific Alliance, which begins and ends with the Summit of Presidents.

Mandates

Based on the close cooperation between the entities responsible for the international promotion of its exportable offer, investments and tourism, and with the purpose of progressing towards the proposed objectives for the 2019-2020 period, work has been carried out on the development of the following mandates:

  • Develop and implement an action plan to promote international trade, tourism and investment 2019-2020 for companies in the Pacific Alliance, with a sustainability approach.

  • Design and implement a joint work plan for the promotion of exports and investments of the 4.0 Services and Industries sector.

  • Promote the internationalization of business innovation within member countries and the Observer States.

  • Design and implement a market intelligence strategy to boost intra-Pacific Alliance trade and with the Asia-Pacific.

  • Develop a methodology to evaluate the impact of joint international promotion actions.

  • Promote promotional actions aimed at the final consumer that contribute to increase the tourist flow in favor of the positioning of the Pacific Alliance as an attractive tourist destination for the intra-regional market.

  • Develop and implement tools and/or actions to achieve greater incorporation of regional companies and SMEs, with the aim of promoting their development and competitiveness, in order to contribute to the tourism flow increase from the intra-regional market and other prioritized markets.

Additionally, this sector has very well-structured opportunities, which allows the information recorded in the database to be well-documented and clear to potential investors.

Four nations, an infinite experience

What began as an initiative of four presidents three years ago, today is one of the strongest blocks in Latin America. The Pacific Alliance is a mechanism of regional and economic integration between Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, which seeks to create a space for deep integration to move towards the free movement of goods, services, capital and people; boost greater growth, development and competitiveness of the economies.
