Canada and the PA signed a Joint Declaration on June 8, 2016 to formalize the Cooperation, which addresses the following areas:
- Trade facilitation and promotion;
- Education and training;
- SMEs;
- Science, technology and innovation;
- Responsible development of natural resources and corporate social responsibility;
In this context, Canada has developed four cooperation projects with the PA:
- Improving market access and export readiness for PA SMEs;
- Canada Scholarships – PA: University of Alberta;
- Support Program to improve measurement, reporting and verification mechanisms;
- Sustainable development and skills for employment in the extractive sector of the AP (EPE-AP).
