June 29, 2022.- Today, during the “Final Meeting of EUROsociAL+ / EU-LAC high-level bi-regional dialogue on New Social Contracts and associations for more resilient and inclusive societies”, held at the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels, the Pacific Alliance (PA) presented its project for the recognition and standardization of labor certifications, which has been selected from more than 140 projects.
The objective of this project is to provide the PA with an operating system for the homologation and/or mutual recognition of labor skills certifications among its member countries: Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. The project has been developed since 2020, the year in which it begins with a comparative study; achieving significant progress by 2021 with the design of the operating model.
Likewise, in 2022, it is contemplated to finalize the pilot plan that will test in practice the theoretical model, unique in the world and that has the technical assistance recruited by EuroSocial and counterpart of ChileValora, in charge of the Network of Labor Qualifications and Certifications of the Pacific Alliance, as part of the PA’s Technical Labor Group.
