September 20, 2022.- The Pacific Alliance established for the Infrastructure Group the mandate to: “Lay the foundations that allow us to move towards the construction of sustainable infrastructure, for the development of a sustainable and resilient region.” Within the framework of this mandate, an online seminar on digital infrastructure and digitalization of infrastructure was established.
The objective of the seminar was to highlight the importance of addressing connectivity gaps and their possible financing schemes; as well as describe the best practices for the adoption of technology in the development of sustainable infrastructure. The main issues were: i) connectivity and digital divide in the region and financing schemes and, ii) adoption of technology in infrastructure development.
Experts and executors of projects from the public sector and development banks from Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Peru participated at the webinar.
